At the 2025 e-Assessment Association annual conference and awards on 9-11 June, in London, RM is:
Shaping the Future of Assessment: Innovation, Inclusion, and Integrity in a Digital World is the theme of this year's conference, where RM will be showing our customers and members of the wider community what cutting edge technology looks like, what it feels like and how it can be embedded within e-assessment without risk.
We are inviting people to visit us on our stand or book a meeting to discuss how we can help them to innovate right now within e-assessment. We have already been implementing innovation with our customers around the world.
Following a £6 million investment, we are launching RM AvaTM, our adaptive virtual accreditation platform, showcasing the technical development that brings together RM’s existing tools for assessment on to one single-sign-on cloud-based platform, designed to enable the transition from paper to digital learning and examinations and provide solutions to meet our customers’ assessment needs.
This year, RM is a finalist in the e-Assessment Association's Most Innovative Use of Technology award category with our partners at NCFE. Our project was called “How Adaptive Comparative Judgement further enhanced a commitment to assessment innovation and excellence”. The NCFE used RM Compare™ to try to improve the way they were currently assessing applications for two competitions, namely the NCFE Assessment Innovation Fund and the NCFE Aspiration Awards. Together we were able to show the transformative potential of this new approach by delivering significant improvements in efficiency, reliability and stakeholder engagement in two critical, live evaluation processes.
RM is also a finalist in the Best Research award category with “Learner Experience: Now and Opinions about the Future - Key insights from a global study on digital”. This was more than just a research exercise – it was a chance to truly listen to learners and understand their experiences in a changing educational landscape.
We are proud, and excited to be attending the awards gala on Tuesday 10th June at 6.30pm, when the winners will be announced!
During the conference, RM will be sharing with the audience the ways in which we have been working with our clients to implement innovation in the here and now.
Dr. Gráinne Watson reveals the transformative potential of AI in educational assessment in her ground-breaking presentation:
Ethical AI in Educational Assessment: Pioneering the Future of Marking, Monday, 9th June, 3:20 PM - 3:45 PM, Milton Room
As both cybersecurity lead and systems innovator for RM, Dr. Watson will take audiences on a compelling journey through the development of an ethical, secure AI marking system that achieves remarkable accuracy while maintaining educational integrity.
We are working with our clients and the wider community to draw up codes of practice, test the technology and help clients tailor AI to their exam process ethically – without risk or diminishing the role of the human.
You can find out more about being part of our AI in Marking proof of concept work group.
We will also be sharing the main stage with NCFE, when Rebecca Conway, Director of Research and Innovation at NCFE, and Mark House, Product Manager of RM Compare, provide insights, real-world examples, and lessons on structuring teams, engaging with partners, and aligning innovation with organisational goals:
